The Course in Pedagogical Action and Psycho-Educational Interventions to Promote the Adult Life of People with Autism trains professionals with diverse competency profiles and is conceived as a space for interaction and exchange among practitioners from different yet complementary fields — socio-healthcare, educational, and community-based.
The course aims to foster the co-construction of complex educational actions supporting the personal and collective life projects of people with autism. Among its main learning objectives are the enhancement and development of pedagogical mediation skills to support independent living, by expanding opportunities for participation and activities aimed at developing socio-relational, communicative, and vocational dimensions.
From a community-based perspective, the program promotes new synergies and collaborations among professionals and seeks to identify shared tools for empowering co-design, so that the local context becomes a real factor in transforming aspirations into meaningful life outcomes, throughout the entire life course and across the diversity of human functioning.
Interactive lectures, workshops, and group activities will be encouraged in order to enhance training moments as opportunities to practice a polyphonic and complex vision of the co-construction of life projects with people with autism.
Additional in-depth activities will also be offered to make up for any inability to attend scheduled sessions. This supplementary training provision will enable direct engagement with key witnesses and individuals who are protagonists of meaningful life experiences, contributing to the professional and personal enrichment of participants.
The Course in Pedagogical Action and Psycho-Educational Interventions to Promote the Adult Life of People with Autism is aimed at professionals from different fields — socio-healthcare, educational, and community-based — in order to foster the co-construction of complex educational actions that support the personal and collective life projects of people with autism, enhancing the complementarity of perspectives, approaches, and competencies, as well as full self-determination.
