The IDIM Master’s programme is designed to train highly qualified professionals capable of designing, managing and evaluating complex digital training processes within corporate, university and continuing education contexts through the integration of digital and multimedia tools. In a rapidly changing social and educational context, this course aims to provide advanced skills to implement effective, interactive and accessible learning experiences with a flexible, sustainable and innovation-oriented approach.
Through a multidisciplinary programme, participants will explore innovative digital learning design techniques, platform management, and the use and creation of digital and multimedia resources. The goal is to design digitally integrated and personalised learning environments through the creation of engaging training content and the application of active methodological approaches to support different training methods. Topics related to digital transformation, training management, artificial intelligence, resource and system accessibility, and skills assessment and certification will also be explored in depth.
The master course consists of 300 hours of online teaching. There will also be 250 hours dedicated to project work. A minimum attendance of 210 hours of online teaching (synchronous online lectures, workshop activities and online exercises) is required. Online teaching will take place on Thursday, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (twice a month) via the University’s Zoom platform.
After completing the Master’s Degree in Educational, Digital and Multimedia Innovation, students will be able to work as experts in the conception, design and management of innovative training experiences integrated with digital and multimedia technologies. The training programme allows for a significant improvement on the average entry profile. Students will acquire advanced skills in the management of LMS platforms, tutoring processes, the creation of multimedia content and the use of innovative tools such as artificial intelligence systems. An increase and consolidation in terms of design skills, decision-making autonomy and communication skills applied to the educational context is expected. The Master’s programme prepares students for a wide range of career and professional opportunities in the educational, business and technology sectors. The main professional roles will be: Digital Learning Manager for the management of training projects in digital environments with skills in training data analysis to improve learning processes and performance. Learning Designer: training designer capable of developing blended and online courses, using innovative frameworks and models linked to needs and skills analysis
Learning technologist and e-learning developer: professional in setting up digital environments and creating multimedia teaching materials (Moocs, microlearning, videos, podcasts, graphics). Tutor supporting learning processes in training and group management. Career opportunities include various contexts, mainly distributed between the business, training and educational/institutional sectors. In the corporate context: roles are required in the HR departments and training offices of any company, where figures such as the Digital Learning Manager manage the entire digital training strategy and knowledge management initiatives. Here, the Learning Designer and Technologist create interactive educational content and ensure the correct use of e-learning platforms, which are essential for the continuous updating of human resources. In the education and training sector: employment is concentrated in universities, educational institutions, and training agencies and bodies. Here, professionals manage
platforms (LMS), coordinate blended learning projects, and offer direct support. The role of the tutor is particularly crucial in this area, acting as a facilitator and guide for students in online learning pathways. Cross-cutting contexts: many of these professionals, especially learning designers and e-learning developers, also work in consulting agencies and digital publishing houses, or as freelancers, offering their expertise to several clients at the same time.
