The Master joins the second extraordinary pre-enrolment term from the 4th to the 25th November 2024, 12.30 pm.
The Master in Uro-Anaesthesiology trains highly qualified professionals, capable of providing accurate indications to treat the main urological diseases in adult and paediatric patients.
The course provides a solid theoretical basis and essential hands-on skills to integrate the specific knowledge and competences of different disciplines, including urology, anaesthesiology, paediatrics and interventional radiology.
The final objective is to train specialists who can operate in a critical, independent and effective way in the field of urology-related anaesthesiology.
The Master in Uro-Anaesthesiology helps students understand how to manage anaesthesiology in urological patients, for clinical procedures, endoscopic and endourological surgery, and in complex open surgery cases (e.g., complex blood clots). Moreover, it carefully assesses how to manage urological urgencies and emergencies, and how to deal with complications effectively.
The course includes lesson cycles concentrated in short periods, and agreed between professors and students, and care and/or observational activities at the University Hospital of Padua.
Students will get a chance to attend the Urology Unit, the Urology OR, X-Ray rooms, interventional X-Ray and reanimation rooms at the University Hospital of Padua. The course includes lessons and hands-on practice in the Urology OR, by witnessing urology surgeries, and during interventional X-Ray procedures.
The Master in Uro-Anaesthesiology trains professional figures, such as Urologists and Anaesthesiologists.

Module 6 – Endoscopic surgery. The anaesthesiologist’s message
Module 7 – Outpatient urology surgery. The urologist’s message.
Module 8 – Outpatient urology surgery. The anaesthesiologist’s message.
Module 9 – Surgical and conservative management of peri- and post-operative urology complications.
